My 50th Birthday Trip to Palmyra New York

In September I was able to visit the Church History sites in New York and Ohio with Carla and Loren. It was a fantastic trip and I loved every moment of it. Except the part where I turned 50!!! It was awesome to be in the Sacred Grove and be in the home where the church was organized. We saw and did every thing there was to see. The Hill Cumorah was smaller than I imagined. It was quite a walk for Joseph from his home to the hill to see the plates and receive instruction from the Angel Moroni. It was amazing to have history brought to life by actually being in the place where these events happened.

Happy 4th of July

I just wanted to wish everyone a great July 4th. I need to get Jaxon packed for his Utah trip tonight. Tomorrow we are driving up to Cleveland, going to the zoo, out to dinner and then some swimming at the hotel pool. We have to be at the airport by 6:30 Saturday morning to put him on the airplane. I'm so nervous about it. It sounded like a great idea 2 months ago......
I'm sure he will be fine and once I get the phone call that his grandma's have him I will enjoy some peace and quiet.

Niagara Falls Canada

On June 16th Laura came to visit us here is Ohio. On Friday the 19th we went to Niagara Falls to visit and spend the night.

It was awesome to see!! We went on the Maid of The Mist, did the journey behind the falls, and went on the Wild Rive Walk which took you right by the raging river below the falls. We had a very nice time together and enjoyed our stay there. We even ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, which, by the way, is NOT cheap!! but very good.

The GIANT water slide.

This is the funnest water slide ever!! It's actually quite scary but when it's over you think to yourself, "self, that was FUN"!!! We laughed and laughed. Check out Katie's picture below to get a better idea of how huge it is. Fortunately, Kurt had to go down backwards. If I was riding down backwards I would be dead right now. It has quite a drop off before you slide into the funnel

ZOOMBEZI BAY!!!

This was the water park that was apart of the zoo and it was pretty amazing....

This was a huge funnel that amber, jaxon, mom, and kurt went on a million times... ha ha once again i took one for the team and i took a video of them going down!!!

OHIO!!!!!!

This is a grave stone that was on Ripleys believe it or not... That little circle use to be the bottom of the big ball and they cant explain why it moves... It was pretty cool!!!

Home in February

I think this is the only picture I took when we came home in February. This was taken at Redrock in SLC the day we flew in. It was so great to see everyone.

More Painting.......

I painted a color called Midnight Beach. It's a dark taupe, it's actually a little bit darker than the pictures look. We really like it. I found something called paint potpourri which is a packet of liquid to add to the paint that adds a smell. I added tropical fruit to this paint so our house smells really good and fresh. The smell is suppose to last for several months.

Jaxon's room

I haven't blogged for awhile.....shame on me!! In March we started to do some painting in the house. We did Jaxon's room first. This is a room he has been planning since before we even thought of moving. I brought the spider man boarder from Utah. The room turned out real cute and inspired us to continue painting the rest of the house.
