This is just Tyler and I at an aggie game! I wish I had something to report, but I don't! So love you bye!

Cornbelly Days

On October 25 Ashley and I went to Cornbellys, which is a Halloween festival at Thanksgiving Point. We went through a corn maze, got our faces painted, went through a haunted house, went on a cow ride, and had some really good food.

Jaxon's Football Video

Jaxon's Football 2008

10/25/08 ended the 2008 football season for Jaxon. His team did really well. They lost one game, won 8 and the final game ended in a tie. Jaxon did really well, he pulled a few flags off to save his team from being scored against. When he got to carry the ball he always made a few yards. There was one boy who almost always got to carry the ball. I'm not sure why because he didn't do as good as some of the other boys who had the occasional turn. Must be '' Who you know". The most important thing for me was that Jaxon got to learn a little about how to play and that he had fun. He did do those two things. There wasn't one time that I had to make him go, he was always ready and willing. Now what am I going to do with my time on Saturday mornings? hmm....maybe clean house! Or not!

Fall Festival at the Church

Church Fun!!

Last night I had a surprisingly good time at our Branch Fall Social. I hate to admit it but I wasn't very excited about going. But, being the activities chairman I thought I better make an appearance. No one asked me to help or have any input in the activity....hmm, oh well. I guess the branch has been doing these activities for so long that they don't really need any planning.

When I got there, the tables were set up and decorated. There were decorations on the walls. A table was set up for the food etc. hmmm, I said to myself. I don't even know who did it or anything. But, anyway, it was a potluck dinner. There was tons of food and there was a pie baking contest. I didn't bring a pie but I was able to have a piece, (or two). I took sloppy joe's and chips. Everyone else brought casseroles. So many people turned out, even people that I have not seen at church, go figure. The young men, young women had games and prizes in the classrooms, and a closet, our church house is very small. The primary kids were able to wear their costumes. Jaxon came home with a lunch sack full of little prizes and candy.

All in all, it was a good time. My pictures are of my friends here in Marion. Emily and Ben Titensor, they are so funny. Ben is a crack up as you can tell from the picture. The missionary is Elder Scruggs, he's awesome. He is from Utah, between SLC and Provo.

Now I know how they do the activities here. Gives me a better idea of how to plan them. The next big one will be the Christmas Party. I better start planning for all the decorating. Also, the branch pres. wants me to plan a social for the young, inactive couples with small children. What do I do??!! Any ideas would be appreciated.

Our Upcoming Litter of Puppies

We are going to have a new litter of puppies in December. They are called Silkchons. The dad is the Silkie Terrier and, of course, Zoey is a Bichon. It will be fun to see what we get. They could be ugly mutts that we can't give away or, beautiful designer breed pups that we can sell for a few hundred dollars. ummm.....I am hoping for the later.

My next posting will be to show you Zoey's big belly.(when she gets one)

Jaxon Lost a Tooth

Jaxon had a tooth pulled at the dentist. His baby teeth do not like to go. His adult tooth was already in behind his baby tooth. We're doing the same thing with his other top front tooth. I'm hoping the other baby tooth will leave on it's own. The dentist charged me $113 to pull a loose baby tooth!!! (sorry about the booger and the dirty face....that's just Jaxon!)

Jake, I think your baby teeth didn't want to go either. If I remember right your adult front teeth grew in behind your baby teeth. Isn't that why you had to wear a retainer when you were young? I think we had to push your adult teeth out a little bit.

Jaxon's School Picture Fall of 2008

Jaxon's school picture this year. Didn't it turn out
so cute? You never really know what you'll get....

here's my school pictures mom......I was happy with these.

Hmmm, I'm not really sure how this all works but hopefully i'll figure it out fast. :)

Jaxon's Football Pictures

Flag Football!! Go Team!!

These are Jaxon's football pictures. He kind of has a silly "do I really have to smile for this picture" grin on his face. AND the sun must be shinning in his eyes. They turned out kind of cute though. The team had a very successful season. They have won all their games but one. They play one more game tomorrow. Jaxon has made some great plays. He has carried the ball a few times (not near enough as far as I'm concerned). He gained yards each time he had the ball. He has pulled off some flags and saved the team from getting scored on. He for sure is the fasted runner on the team.

My Friday Night Date

A couple of weeks ago I took Jaxon and a friend to McDonald's for dinner and then swimming at the "Y". They had a fun time together. His friend is Ethan and lives close by our house. They go to school together but are not in the same class at school.

They were trying to do tricks into the pool.

Isn't Jaxon funny??!!

I just took some crocheting and watched. I wasn't part of all the tricks into the pool.

Mother & Dads visit

Longaberger Baskets

Dad and Penny
Columbus Temple

The cute couple!

Good times!!

Mother, Dad and Jaxon at Lehman's store.
Mother and Dad came to Ohio for my birthday and spent a couple of weeks. We did a lot of fun things together. We went to Amish country one day. We did some shopping, lots of looking, and bought some cheese from a most excellent cheese factory.

We attended a session at the Columbus temple which was a great time for me. I loved being there with my mom and dad.
I showed mother and dad around the town of Marion, didn't take very long. And one day we went to a cute little place called The Morgan House. It's a fun place to eat lunch and shop for cutesy stuff.
We also wend to Longaberger Baskets where mother and I each made a basket. Penny was able to come up from Alabama for the day and she went with us. We had a nice lunch and did some more......you guessed it, shopping! We wore dad out on this day and he had to sleep the next day while I was at work.
We did a lot of hanging out at our house. Mother taught me how to knit dish clothes so I have been busy perfecting that. Dad did a lot of paper reading and news watching. Oh, I got to out for breakfast with them, all fun stuff.
I hated the day I had to take them back to the airport. It's so much more fun to pick people up than to take them back. But, it's better than no one coming at all. They made it back home safe and sound and I think they enjoyed their time here, I know I did.

Meet the Family

This is Jaxon...he is our youngest boy. He is the only one that came to Ohio with us, he is 7.

This is Tyson and his family, Andrea, Lexee and Taya. A cute family too. Tyson is the second to the oldest.

This is Katie and Tyler. They just got married this summer in Logan, Utah. Katie is my baby girl.

Our familiy, November 2007

This is our family Thanksgiving 2007 right before Kurt left to start his new job in Ohio. Since this picture Katie has been married to Tyler, Jake is getting married to Ashley and Amber has her significant other, Brad. Tyler, Ashley and Brad are not in this picture. Hopefully we can get a nice family picture of all of us as Jake's wedding in January...aren't we a cute family! Oh...and Andrea is going to have a baby boy in December....for sure we need that family picture in January. (pictured her is Tyson, Andrea with Taya, Katie with Jaxon, Kurt with Lexee, Me, Jake with Kortny and Amber with Aubry)

Kurt and I in 2008

This is Kurt and I today! There's to much to tell about the last 11 years so I am going to just start telling about our lives now. I want to talk about the highlights of our 2008 year begining with our move to Ohio.

Kurt got a supervisor job working for Nucor Marion so we moved from Utah to Marion Ohio in January 2008. It was quite a trip. We brought 4 dogs and a cat with us. We stayed at "Pet friendly" hotels along the way and boy were they a life saver. We were able to just bring the dogs into the hotel room with us. It was actually kind of fun. The first night was a disaster, it was hard trying to figure out how to get all of us into a room without making a big disturbance to the whole hotel. By the 4Th night though we were really good at it, we had a system down. I enjoyed the trip across the country. I did feel sad, though, knowing I was getting farther and farther away from my family. But, we made it and we have a nice home here. I will take a picture and show it later. I found that I got bored after a couple of months of not working so I found a part time job working for a spine surgeon.

Jaxon has done really well adapting to his new life. He has made lots of friends and I really love his school here.

Our Family History

Hello, Kurt and I first met when he broke his arm 4-wheeling and I was working for the orthopedist that took care of him. This picture is how we looked when we first started our family. This was taken in 1996. Aren't we cute? I think Jake was a senior in high school and Katie was around 8.

Kurt and I were married in Lake Tahoe on August 4Th, 1997. It was awesome. We were married on the top deck of the MS Dixie paddle boat. When the priest asked for my ring he dropped it, it rolled and almost fell over the edge of the boat. We all watched in horror. Thankfully it stopped right on the edge.
